Lost works of art

The Polish Post has issued a series of stamps dedicated to lost works of art from Polish museum collections that have been lost, destroyed, or looted over the centuries and are currently unavailable for public viewing. The stamp block and envelopes feature three fragments of reproductions of paintings depicting cityscapes of Warsaw, Krakow, and Zamość, by Aleksander Gierymski, Julian Fałat, and Marcin Zaleski.
