Wayfinding system at the National Stadium in Warsaw

The visual information system project was implemented based on the initial concept of the stadium architects. The main assumptions were: universality, clarity and monochromatic style as well as logical and minimalist form. The idea behind the idea was the coherence of the interior of the facility, where the information system supports the surroundings and does not pretend to an independent role. Thanks to the great expressiveness in the combination of classic black and white, the effect of clear and uniform communication was achieved. In reference to the rhythm of architecture and its form, a modular system was proposed in line with the layout of the facades. The structure of information was divided and organized both in terms of the importance of places and the way of perception, and a classic font from the Helvetica family was dedicated to visualization. The work of expert teams marked out the communication routes, which allowed for determining the strategic points of the system. The comprehensive project included the development of individual boards, pylons, caissons as well as pictograms and situational maps. Over 2.5 thousand were created. various signage, including approximately 1.5 thousand boards. It was a huge undertaking, both in terms of design and strategy, undoubtedly one of the largest implementations of this type.
