160 Years of the Polish Stamp

On January 31, 2020, Poczta Polska issued a commemorative stamp commemorating the 160th anniversary of the publication of the first Polish postage stamp from 1860. The 3.30 złoty anniversary stamp references the design of the first Polish stamp from that period and features the double-headed eagle of the Kingdom of Poland surrounded by a crown ornament in the center.

The contemporary version of the alternative design references the current coat of arms and is a simplified, schematic representation of the original from 1860.
